A vandal attack on Hunkypedia has made me rethink my decision to run it as a DokuWiki instance.

Nearly a month after the attack occurred, I spent an hour reverting the vandals' edits on each page one by one, and restoring the pages they have deleted. Needless to say, it was tedious. Their edits filled up the recent changes list and I had to view the site's directory of past page revisions just to find what the vandals removed. I was also confused on how they were able to rename pages despite the move extension's function supposedly being limited to me, the admin.

At that point, I decided that DokuWiki wasn't worth installing and I would've been better off with MediaWiki, given the collaborative aspect of Hunkypedia. So, a week later, I decided to start over from scratch. I deleted DokuWiki and installed a fresh MediaWiki instance - and surprisingly, it works. I am now in the process of importing every article and image from the old DokuWiki instance, which I made a backup of.

I have made the decision to remove /ogd/ for two reasons:
1. It's inactive; it's been two months since its last post.
2. The board's nature is likely to attract pedophilic gigaquotes (as it already had).
I originally created it as a space for users coming from the gigacha.de, also known as the Chaddy. However, it died not long after its creation, which is the main reason it has been retired.

Four new boards, mostly ones from the vichan era, have been added to the site. These include: /hunky/, /qa/, /ogd/, and /raid/.

Originally I was going to wait until the owner of the Chaddy assists me with importing data from the old site, but due to both lack of response from him and demand from users, I've decided to go ahead and create those boards anyway.

After the deprecation of our previous imageboard software Vichan, we have stayed on the dark web for a while. However, since switching to the more modern and efficient JSchan (albeit a fork with a media approval system), we have officially returned to the clearnet.

In addition to upgrading the software, we have also updated the rules. Don't hesitate to read them before doing anything.
